   let me get this right. should it cut grass?  just get a self propelled honda and modify it.  or use glyphosphate 360 and kill the lot.  yard looks like shit.

    uhm ya nice design its just that its never gonna be able to cut all the grass look at the spots it leaves when it turns… the only way robotic lawn mowing is gonna be able to work is if people mow and it records the path you took… then it will work fully.. until then you get these mowers that just mow anywhere and will never finish a yard up… put a real lawn mower engine on it too that weedwhacker engine isnt gonna do anything….

    Where I come from the idea of "mowing" is about actually cutting the grass instead of running over it. I run over it all the time when I forget to engage the PTO. I wont buy it yet..lemme know when you figger out the "cutting" part.

    It a nice presentation of the Parallax chips. Did you use BS2 or Propeller? However not the most efficient way to cut the grass bouncing around like a drunk Indian. You be better off with a Futaba RC controller sitting in a lawn chair with a beer guiding a determined route for proper grass cutting. Good job! 🙂

    Great job! Now whether its actually cutting the grass or not is, well…. hey, you never said you were finished, always more R&D.

    BTW: I'm making a solar robot for engineering class. Where did you get those stickers? They're cool, in fact the whole bumper is cool. I'd recommend you cover the components more though.

    Yes use big metal blades on a robot that controls it self ^_^ lol joking why not make it plastic like the ones on my week whacker.. the real one i did not make a robot one lol

    It doesn't seem to cut very well…I know it's a weed whacker engine. But…wouldn't an actual robotic lawnmower have been better? Am I the only one among the people who have watched this, who doesn't really see where it has 'cut' much of anything? That would take hours to keep going back and forth and snipping just a little bit.
