Get the lego IR Receiver

This video is on how to make a remote control circuit out of a lego IR transmitter and IR receiver. Other methods of making remote control circuits can be very costly. Using Arduino’s can be expensive, because two of them are needed. This method is taking apart a lego IR receiver, and isolating the DC in and out wires, it is then possible to power other things remotely. There are many possibilities that can be done with the circuit. One could potentially hook up a relay to the circuit and control anything they wanted remotely. I know this is an old video, but I would still like to ask, please, I have an old TV remote that works, but the TV died years ago. Is it possible to use that remote to make a receiver for changing for example the inputs from my sound switcher box. Thank you.
The reality today… I case this Chanel is shut down
can the same thing work with this remote?: https://shop.lego.com/en-US/LEGO-Power-Functions-IR-Remote-Control-8885
the way that the remote works (pushing the lever things up and down) works better for the project i am thinking of
i just want to know how to make a circuit not how to use it

cool video man, thanks a lot
More like, "How to Buy Lego"
Thanks!
Bad teaching
Its not bad
Does it matter how many voltage you put in the receiver???? Please answer sir 🙂 PS: nice video
Could you increase the voltage to something like 100 volts

GOING TO THE NETHER MINECAFFF
this was supposed to be for an object, not game system.:D
nice
It will be a lot cheaper using ardiuno. Ir will be cheap and even if you have go for RC you can buy NRFL01 2.4ghz transmitter and reciever for 2 dollars!!!
oh hu LA LA
this just made my idea a whole lot easier
Great! This reciver can control a servo?
This is a awsome idee
What kind of table is that
How to make a remote control using only a remote control.
you're not actually making something…
Can't sign up…. Won't let me
How long is its range ?

Thanx Mate, Leggo My Leggo!!! Har! Gb bg
I liked the project but when I clicked on the link I couldn't find the place to sign up. The link just kept bringing me back to the sign up page with no place to put my info into. lol
thanks
thanks
Dude you have no idea what your doing do you? You strip wires with a fucking needle nose and you DONT test a circuit by "touching" it to the battery to check for polarity,, thats a good way to fry the circuit. Its called use a fucking multimeter to check for polarity.
can you use any sized battery or do you have to use a 9 volt
Is that the controller from the lego ?
where to buy the project box?
Would this "thingy" work to simply close the circuit to small external computer speakers? It seems that it provides batt. power to the circuit which is unwanted for my app. Thanx. Gb bg
where can I get the receiver
موعارف عنجليزي?
Thank you!!! I was looking for some thing like this! Now I can use it for my r2 d2 project
I LOVE IT
doe it goes in revers
hello sir..

Please what are the important components used for remote circuit? How can one get or make it. This is the real question. Thanks.
how should i get it in india
