I got a Worx Landroid WG795E Robotic lawn mower for free, awesome! In this video I work on setting up the perimeter with guidewire, and preparing to have it run of Solar power.

Even just 1$ a month, comes out to the same as Binge-watching all of my 500+ Videos every month.
My PlayHouse is a channel where i will show, what i am working on. I have this house, it is 168 Square Meters / 1808.3ftΒ² and it is full, of half-finished projects.
I love working with heating, insulation, Servers, computers, Datacenter, green power, alternative energy, solar, wind and more. It all costs, but I’m trying to get the most out of my money, and my time.

I have a relatively flat lawn that nevertheless has a number of bumps and uneven bits in it because it is a bigger, more country like lawnπΌ allabout.wiki/WORX-WG794 After the set up, which went as smoothly as can be expected given how much I hate learning to work new tech toys, WORX got to work and did a surprisingly quiet job of getting the mowing done. While it has gotten itself stuck a couple of times, lifting the mower out of a too low bed edge occasionally is a whole lot less labor-intensive than dealing with having the mow crew come twice a month and having to pay the resulting bill.
Suggested easier method for border cable placement includes using a Grass Edger/Trimer spooling the cable along as you cut a small crease in the soil. You can stick the cable in the edged crease following up with the stakes. With more initiative you can run the cable through a small pvc pipe trailing behind the grass trimmer and press the cable into the soil crease as you create it.
It would be nice, if you would possess some knowledge in this head of your's…
25 inches
Why splice the cable? Just use the new reel, It's not good to have joins in it
I have always considered those things worthless but I am interested in your opinion.
I'm so embarrassed, I accidentally, used my native language on Mortens channel, if someone needs a translation, pls inform me asap. i'm very sorry ;o)
I think it needs more of an open area with less obstructions to work better.
hahah 25cm aye lol Dont worry its easy to confuse "cm" for what you really mean "mm" π
use as many of those spikes as you can. use them all up. it help keep the cable from getting nicked by the blades. and it will help the wire end up in the grass after this season is over.
Shouldn't that power supply have an earth considering it is powering an external device?
Hahaha, It is made by UBER π€£ π€£ π€£
4:18 it is. It's great to get a rusty nut from a screw or similar π
1:32 haven't watched your video completely yet, but this looks like you used the wrong type of wire. This is solid wire, isn't it? The other one looks like a flexible one, which is better for transmitting a high frequency signal… so if you're running in issues with the cable, you might want to switch to a flexible one. π
i hard that husqvarna make good mowing robot.
Your. Church sounds like a train crossing
I have two of the newer models and you want to try not to do sharp right angles in the corner, make it go into a 45 degree straight then 45 degree again so that it's not so sharp and it will avoid getting stuff in the corners. For the charging dock follow their instructions with the wire as well since it really does need the amount of space they recommend. I've experimented with far less space but unfortunately it needs a good amount else again it gets stuck. Mine are working well now and don't get stuck any longer.
Haha 25cm unsuitable cheeky joke haha
Personally I would have wired a car cigarette lighter plug and left the connector attached to the inverter: it should have a fuse in it, almost useful, and you could also have the inverter moved in your car if needed…
unless it has a learning mode, you might have to deploy more of that cable for some areas like where it got stuck at the end.
Your garden is to large. It runs out of battery even before it's gonna reach the charging station. LOL.
What a brilliant piece of worx πππΌ
You chould put a webcam on it π so we can follow it around the garden
did the manual say to make sharp turns on the guide/perimeter wire? i would think you need to make sweeping bends, kind of like fiber runs.
Nu er jeg ihvertfald sikker pΓ₯ jeg ikke skal have en Worx robotklipper ;o)
@7.38 OMG i'm dying … LMAO
Hope you do video on the usb update, just watching your video i think you should set the line 30cm perimeter, might have an easier run.
My robot mower, with the same cutting system, happily cuts wet grass, even when it rains, according to the manual. Of course, it does tend to stick a bit more to the wheels and bottom of the mower.
Some serious tape for the wire splice π
Loved the church bells on the speeded up portion π
That robot is way more work than just going out and cutting the lawn yourself. Cool toy though π
7:39 Oh My! It seems the Mower is a Rube Goldberg invention π
7:37 Oh god, what an awful, awful joke! Love it! π
Very cool video Morten, looking forward to the next video of your robot, keep up the good work π
You should put a camera on the lawnmower and run a time lapse as it mows.
Oh dear, not a very clever program in that device π
I would have expected it to be switched on while in the docking station so it maps the area in relation to the station.
Is there an update for that device, just a thought π
Looks like a bild person driving a car π
@10:22 "That's the church bells"
@10:25 Was that the railroad crossing!? π
first π
