Video edit I made of my final project at school. It’s an autonomous vehicle: I can make it search for a red ball or simply let it roam until it gets stuck or runs out of battery.

The brain is a RaspberryPi 2 with a Picamera. I used OpenCV for the image analysis. There is also an Arduino Mega reading the sensors continuously and listening to the commands from the Pi.

The base platform is a Traxxas Summit on which I removed the receiver. The Arduino acts as the receiver, sending the appropriate signal to the ESC and servos.

  1. pretty cool, I am going to try to build an autonomous shovel that will drive to a mining location, pick up load, swing the top half and dump it into the truck. Thinking Arduino and pi, how was the coding?
