In this ROS Live Class, you will be able to have a crude, but useful, system to position and move your robot around an outdoor terrain without a map, by using a GPS, odometry, and IMU. We will use the robot_localization package. ….. Robots used in this class: ▸ Summit XL robot from Robotnik: https://www.robotnik.eu/mobile-robots/summit-xl/

If you missed the class, you can find the ROSject files and full-code used in the class at the Robot Ignite Academy: https://www.robotigniteacademy.com =============== ============= Every Tuesday at 18:00 CET / CEST. This is a LIVE Class on how to develop with ROS. In Live Classes, you will practice with me at the same time that I explain, with the provided free ROS material. IMPORTANT: Remember to be on time for the class because at the beginning of the class we will share the code with the attendants for free. IMPORTANT 2: in order to start practicing quickly, we are using the ROS Development Studio for doing the practice. You will need a free account to attend the class. 1. If I wanted the robot to go to any position and point towards the magnetic north, how would I do that?

  2. Hi Sir,
I am facing issue regarding hardware integration of IMU with wheel encoders for generating an accurate odom for better localisation. I have followed ur previous tutorial and done the simulation part of imu+odom –> filtered odom. But I have confusions regarding the odometry input to NAVIGATION STACK. It will be great if anyone can answer my queries.

  3. Thank you for the video and it is very informative, going through the launch file you had only added four nodes to be launched but when you are launching there are so many nodes are getting launched, how those extra nodes are getting launched??
