  1. Not sure if this part is designed to be weather exposed. Neat idea otherwise!

  2. Would this be able to generate enough electricity to charge an electric vehicle?

  3. This fans have been incredibly hard to find for me here in Canada. Oddly enough most of the people I talk too have no idea what I mean so maybe there is more information needed. 🤷

  4. Nice job! However, I would be somewhat concerned about the additional weight of the retro-fitted blades being mounted on a motor designed for lighter blades and longevity issues that may arise because of that.

  5. if you cut off some of the part very near the motor. the part that is almost vertical compared with the direction, it will be even more efficient. because so near the motor, the wind dont have much momentum in the turning direction. but the blade still moves arround, and have to push air to turn. if you look at factory wind turbine blades, they are not curved very near the motor. ( i am talking about the blades you put on.) that part they are streamlined round, for strength

  6. It would be nice to see how this could be used instead of just building it with no practical application.

  7. The music…But that was awesome! I'm gathering parts now. I'm going to use a solar regulator and build in circuit protection.

  8. Use black or grey soil pipe, they're designed for outdoor use and are resistant to ultra violet. I've seen the brown pipe discolour after being left outside and I suspect it will become brittle, like white non UVP pipe.

  9. Fit a tail fin to allow it to turn with the wind and fit a swivel mount

  10. Now, every Nissan Micra in the scrap yards, will be minus their thermostatic cooling fan. Fun little project, albeit a little rudimentary.

  11. Could you use a gearbox to maximize the rpms of the dc motor.sir i am confused on makeing the bladed could you please provide a paper template that i could have printed out.

  12. Which brand of pipe did you use by chance. Haven't been able to fine this orange color pipe. Regular drink pipe is very thick n a bit heavy seems. Great video production by the way.

  13. Amazing, I just ran out of electricity and I've always wanted a wind turbine so I'm going to build one of these. My friend is an electrician so he might help me connect it to my home. However, have you done a video on this and how to store the electricity generated please?

  14. Robert, I did this with a radiator fan motor from an early 2000 model VW Beetle. It spun very nicely in the wind, however it only put out around 2 volts. Am I missing something?
