  1. As someone who has been soldering for 15 years I can say Chris is extremely through with the process

  2. Great vid, Chris! Can I use a propane torch instead of a soldering iron which take a long time to heat up…? Thanks s

  3. Smashed it. I only do this once and a while. And I never picked up any tips. I was doing it all rong, Thanks Chris

  4. I am a complete beginner. I stripped a wire, getting ready to solder it, but the two wires inside the wire I stripped are coated in braided copper, with a plastic coating under that, then with little wires inside. Do I solder the copper coating to the wire I want it connected to, do I strip the copper coating and the rubber coating and solder the internal wires to the wire I want it connected to, or do I solder both the copper coating and the internal wires to the wire I want it connected to?

  5. I have always been terrible at soldering this video clearly explained what I have been doing wrong lol thank you I am no longer going to cold solder everything

  6. Great class on tips I just bought Milwaukee 12volt SODERING gun and a heavy duty helping hands set called Helping hands with magnetic arm

  7. Watching this right after making my first wire soldering gets me right back into my garage and start it all over! Thank you CrisFix for another great and comprehensive video!

  8. Holy shit dude, this was a fantastic tutorial. Top 3, all time on this website. And I've been here a while. I was ahokayNoiceigetitnow-ing all over the place. As some else here mentioned, it's awesome seeing a properly done YouTube tutorial again. I almost want to say that if you walk into this tutorial with no knowledge, watch it and still manage to get something stuck in the fan, well then shit. I'm genuinely sorry for your earthly handicap. If not mentally challenged, I have questions. Many questions. Anyway, cheers for the tutorial.

  9. Great tutorial. I've been looking for the watt information for how powerful of a soldering iron I needed for thicker gauge wire.

  10. Just soldered my speaker wires before seeing this. Guess I"m going to have to redo it now since I cold soldered. Reeeeeee.
