How do we get the grass mowed out along the road if there is a sidewalk in the way? Easy solution!

I want to avoid someone tripping or running into the mower as it crosses the sidewalk. Any preventative ideas? I am think I will have it mow that area at night when people aren’t using it but that is the best I have. I figure if anyone is out at night they would need a flashlight and at least they would see the slow moving mower.
