This video explains the process of building a table that raises to the ceiling, to save space or for the pure enjoyment of it.
Since it has been a while since we made the video, we tried to link everything to the best of our memories.

Nice The world needs more engineers, keep it up !
Nice, neat and ingenious! Good job guys!
hey thanks guys, nice work!
I've been looking all day on Amazon for a pulley solution. This is what I am going to lift a 5×9 plywood railroad track. Excellent job young men! Put everything else to shame.
Someday their girlfriends will be highly impressed with their rope/pulley skills.
Great idea kids that's perfect for what I need
Will be using your pulley design for storage TY!
I love this! Well made and explained, you’ve inspired me to assemble one
nice work guys!
So much nerdness. I love it
it just fall down and slams them at the end of video
Szobody Kids, what an awesome video! Congrats on a job well done and documented, I am a producer as well. Question, how much weight can this possible hold? Can I increment the weight by exchanging a few parts? Thanks!
I am so inspired and proud of you two. I will be making this myself just how you did it. Absolutely love this
Super cool
43 years old and you kidlets taught me something I needed to know. Thank you!
OH my god ! all i want to do is lift an oblong box for roof storage .This example terrifys me !!!! haha .love it .Great vid .
Nice job guys. I love your pulleys to single block design, to lift all four corners evenly!
Bingo! Great job!!!! I'm looking for ways to get the bed out of the way for more play space. Loft beds don't cut it and murphy beds cost a fortune. You just gave me some ideas. Thanks guys!
Gracias desde argentina .. estoy replicando tu idea
Hahaha! “But I do not trust my work!” The reason why everything in my house is way over-engineered. Anyway, excellent work guys. Now I know exactly how I’m going to store the heavy tables above my garage door.
This is perfect; need exactly this to raise a work surface in my workshop. I liked BattleTech more, but never got into either one since all the minis and stuff were so costly 🙂
Genius. These kids should go door to door offering retractable shelving in peoples garage.. sign me up fellas.. or at least let me copy your idea, I need to lift some shelving like this up so I can hang it from unistrut, vs 90 deg brackets that I don’t trust at all..
Wow. Just what I am looking for. Thanks guys. Great job.
You guys are marvelous. But I do wonder if we can get a quieter ratcheting mechanism. I love the safety feature of it though. So simple and effective.
I'd like someone to send me a pulley system design for my 10' wooden garage door in my inclosed metal carport shed. The current power door motor don't work anymore, so with the springs and chains and cable, It's light enough to lift by hand and I prop a 6.5 foot X 2" hickory stick into the track to hold it up. I'd really like to upgrade to the winch system. I can mount it. Please send me the details of a system I can hook up to one eye bolt in the middle of the 10' foot door on the existing track. My email is rcannon9000@yahoo.com. Thank you, have a blessed life.
You guys rock!
Extreme lengths to pat yourself on the back dad.
Very cool might have to do something similar.
Great work!
Only part I don't like, is the pulleys placing a side load onto the eyes in the ceiling, but that's being picky! Nice one.
Good job gentlemen.
Who hit this with a thumbs down???
