Right out of the box this metal detector hand probe was so quiet I couldn’t hear it when metal detecting at the beach. This is my attempt to improve it. LOL

I kept saying — BRUCE!!!. Don't drill toward yourself. I have 12 metal detectors and 5 pin pointers. The pin pointers are not very loud. Glad to see you got it to your liking .

Nice fix. Could you put a sticking plaster over the holes? That would keep sand out and let the beep out
Thats how I started as a KId, took apart my Penn 60 fishing reel to clean out the sand 50 years later I am now a retired Diesel Mechanic🔧🔧.

Life is like a Pineapple No matter how you slice it Some parts will be Sour some parts Sweet and some parts Bitter So you have to mix it altogether and it will be Pretty good add a little Rum or Vodka also helps

I would have just made a hole in the housing right over the buzzer. But then it would not be waterproof anymore.
