This is my third Ardupilot build, this time is a Talon Pro airframe which is made for long-range and FPV flights. This video will show you the process to put it together, the mistakes I did and the maiden flight. Including a Karen (drone hater) at the end of the video.

This project makes use of the most popular autopilot software, Ardupilot, specifically Arduplane firmware which is the one I’m using for this build, installing the firmware using mission planner and using a Matek F405 Wing. Also using a digital airspeed sensor and GPS, the plane is equipped with an FPV camera to allow for OSD visualization and be able to fly via FPV.

  20. $170 plus $101 for shipping for a 1.35M airframe with no power system, no servos, no FPV components is insanely overpriced. A complete DJI mini SE costs about the same and includes everything already to fly out of the box.

  34. Stand your ground friend, we have had local local government try telling us "no photos of township employees" and we basically told them to "pound sound" and they left. We have the federal government writing documents authorizing our flights, but they still complain, so you will too 🙂 great video, looking forward to what you do in the future

  35. You don't need elevator servo out if you already set vtail left & vtail right servo out. Just remove elevator output, and put the servo wire on the vtail left & vtail right on the servo rail FC.

  36. Hahaha I had a Karen when I was flying on a oval with a foam cub. She said I was endangering her when I was flying over a registered airfield away from her

  46. She only wanted to talk and argue, she was not interested in anything you had to say. I have had the exact same thing happen to me. I tried to tell them I wasn't shooting video or taking photos of anyone but she kept interrupting me and even getting loud. When I realized she didn't want to listen I stopped explaining and just said "OK" "yeah" and "whatever" and she even threatened to call the police on me. I was hoping she would because I was totally legal and had a right to be there. She didn't call police after all but I wish she would have. Maybe she would have listened to the police, but who knows.
