A quick rundown on my ultralight trike. This trike was a home build trike by a guy living in North Pole, Alaska. I bought it from him for about $2000. I did a bunch of modifications to it like put on a longer mast to accommodate the T2 Tandem wing. I also added wheel strut braces and a dashboard. With 4 gallons of gas, the trike weights 160 pounds and one person can lift it into the bed of a pickup truck. The current engine is an MZ-34 by radial engines in China. It puts out about 28.5 hp at 6200 rpm. It flys about 30 mph and burns 2 gph. Takeoff is under 100 feet. Because it is a single-seat ultralight, it requires no license to fly in the US and we follow FAR part 103 flight rules.
