Forrest is the mad scientist of Cannonball Countermeasures behind Ed Bolian’s record setting 2013 run, the 2904, and the C2C Express. He knows just about everything there is to know about making your car invisible to the cops and in this story, he talks about what he went through preparing the CL55 for its cross country run.

  1. my 84 Fiero white I had all panels removed and laminated RAM radar absorbing material. a RAM Net for the Radiator. never got a speeding ticket. Now older just drive normal and know how and where to SPEED.

  2. Better watch yourself, you're getting a little chunky around the waist line, you are too young for that.

  3. Tell me again…why does one NEED to make the vehicle "invisible"? OH! I remember! To flagrantly break the law and drive recklessly! Duh!

  4. Radar tech is interesting, but I would go a different way.

Use the internet to recruit an army of local volunteer spotters to locate all of the police cars on the route.
Give the spotters encrypted access to your route and position so they will know when to help with intel.
Have people monitoring police band and aviation radios for any mention of your movements.
Make your run with real time intel from the spotters on a map display in your vehicle.

  5. I know im late to the party, but i was driving a crown vic for a good while with an expired inspection. Daily drove past state cops, even had a convo with a cop while in my car. No issues somehow.

  6. Keep it in the damn garage because you drive extremely fast, extremely careless, you are to dumb to learn driving laws, you end up crashing into innocent people/cars and killing them. You want more?

  7. Cool vid!! Love going fast!!!
But, can you make a 5GmmWave detector? Holy crap there's a lot of those towers now, where did they come from so fast? lol. And you know what?… My frkn phone is still slow as fk! Smh

  8. Okay….. could you repeat that one more time. I'm still confused on well…… all of it ya let's just say all of it that way I didn't leave anything out.

  9. yea.,., without having to watch the whole thing., i can tell you., as someone who has been pulled over 500 times with 170+ tickets ., i have found the real way to not get pulled.,, ONLY drive commercial style vehicles., all my driving problems ended when i started buying commercial style vehicles., it's WHAT your driving., NOT how your driving., SLEEPERS people., loud and fancy only lures them in., fancy tech doesn't mean chit.,., ';'

  10. I expected him to show us how to make a car invisible instead I heard a bunch of bragging, me me me i did this, I have that. Sheeeeit, less talking more showing.

  11. Better off making ur car invisible lmao…..Dont waste ur $$ on junk that dont work

  12. This story didn't really go anywhere. He installed like 5 different radar/laser detectors and found all the police frequency bands for the trip. There, I just saved you ten minutes.

  13. I wanted to use a Romulan cloaking device to make my car invisible to cops. I even tried to looking in the fictional item section of Walmart. I couldn’t find the department anywhere in the store though. Mostly because it doesn’t exist.

  14. The best easiest cheapest way to be invisible to cops. Do the speed limit use your turn signals drive like you actually know how to drive instead of the IDIOT most of you are. Why do you all have to be first? None of your are but yet you all try.

  15. I don't know why but I love dry story telling and find it extremely interesting. I could tell the dude was extremely nervous but he seems to know his stuff, I look forward to more information. I always have wondered about electronic countermeasures for your personal vehicle he seems to bring clarity to the issue. I have read about devices in Europe that let you know when certain frequencies are being used in you vicinity but have never heard if it has become available on the US market yet.

  16. In 1975 I did a run from Paris TX. to Tallahassee Fl. 1200 miles I10 in 16 hours only stopping 3 time's to fill up 70 Challenger convertible 120+mph never saw a cop.

  17. Can the pandemic cannon ball record ever be beat? Is cannonball dead as a result?

  18. My 87 Camaro had a streamline, plastic front bumper, no plate (GA is a 1-plate state, for those who didn't know) and my cop buddy told me it was a little harder to pick up farther away… My light bulb went off.
One fiberglass hood, lots of polish on the A pillars and anti-fog slickum on the very raked windshield later and the signal was so erratic that, if I was anywhere near other cars, I was pretty much invisible next to them. Even alone on the highway in the desert, they didn't have a good signal 'til I was on top of them.
    NOTE
Before people start trolling me, this was back in the late 80s and radar wasn't what it is today and backwater depts. didn't have good guns, anyway. I never said the car was invisible, just that the body style and lots of plastic/fiberglass makes it a whole lot more challenging to pick up than others.
I used to drive from Atlanta to the far side of key west (about 1-2am) and made it in 13hrs, repeatedly, which is humping because a lot of that trip doesn't lend to excessive speeds. Traffic, bridges, small, cop laiden towns (Meter, GA is the worst) and trust me, 13hrs is fast.
My kid and I just last 4th of July made it from 1.5hrs north of Sacramento to Atlanta in right at 28hrs (not quiteasfar as the C2C), only stopping for gas.
The Covid had less traffic on the road, did a lot of night driving and just didn't see a lot of cops, for whatever reason. That was a bust-ass trip.
I'm in the Atlanta area, where be you? (ish… lol)
And my two, Russian blue cats are named Jake and Elwood… ?

And Richard Rollings is a pompous idiot.

  19. I have never watched a vinwiki video that I didn't enjoy and watch to the very end.

  20. In Aug of 1991, I and a good friend were being stationed in Washington state from the east coast. We left Virginia and three days later we pulled into our new base. We used the Tec if the day (radar detector ) binoculars and a CB / ham radio along with a pre-programmed scanner to run 115 for three straight days to get there on time. We managed to boil the transmision in SD with the thinning air and long flat ground slowing us to run up to 119 the point just before the govner would cut the throttle on the Z24 we were running in. That is when we figured out 115 and below was the magic number for not boiling the transmission. Some of the best days of my life.
