This is my forth radio controlled lawn mower that I have designed and built using wheel chair motors and radio controlled equipment.

  1. how much will you sell it for? or do you possibly have any close up pics or video on how you attached the alternator?

  2. you've made an excellent mower. forget the gps, cameras and full autonomy that some people suggest. tell them to make it like they say and have them explain how they did it. I doubt they can. great job!

  3. I like your height adjustment using the linear actuator. Learn to drive it coming toward you, its just all backwards but it isnt like you are going to auger into the ground if you get it wrong. FPV and some goggles or on the TV set inside will eliminate all that backward crap and you would be looking out the windshield of the mower while driving. Ive got a diversity receiver 5 8 ghz with an omni directional and a directional antenna where the receiver picks the strongest signal based on where the mower is. Hook all this up to the RCA jacks on your TV and take a seat and cut the lawn.

  4. Hi Brian, I am thinking of making one due to my back condition and would like to know your thoughts on the difference between skid steer against drive wheels at the back and front wheels similar to a wheel chair? It is also great to see someone that shows edges being cut instead of just straight lines and the middle of the lawn being cut.. I am in Melbourne Australia and I have many edges and corners to cut as I am on a corner block.

  5. Brian, YOU ARE A GENIOUS !!! I want the plans!!! very happy to discover youyr channel on youtube, also for other last project named CRAWLER

  6. Just need a lawn chair and a cooler of beer…"honey…I'm gonna mow the lawn…might take a while"

  7. Now if someone can program it to do it by it self and not kill anyone then we will all be sorted xD!

  8. I had to chuckle from 3:44 min . . . Brian walking right behind his mower. Might as well have a handle bar. funny!

  9. Nice lockdown project, but Husqvarna make fully autonomous lawnmowers.
A lot less noise, ond more suitable for your lawn

  10. Nice demo at the end, it seems to be working really well! It looks very well built and compact. If you ever wanted to add some software controller to it, maybe one could add functions like having it automatically move to the next row, or even recording tracks around the yard ?
Edit: sorry, I don't know RC stuff, maybe there are just controllers that let you create preset actions like that

  11. The ultimate improvement would be to add automatic operation just like a xiaomi vacuum cleaner or similar, but for mowing.

  12. Very impressive! You’ve done the hard part, if you wanted to add some autonomy, check out Ardupilot’s Ardurover. If you aren’t familiar with it, let me know and I could point you in the right direction. Otherwise, there’s a YouTuber, Painless360 that has amazing tutorials. Just start with his older ones. I’d start with “APM Setup” (the basics of the drone setups and rover are the same).

  13. Toro brand has mowers with starters and it’s awesome to just turn the switch over. If he can retrofit a mower engine with a starter, that would be the ultimate RC Mower
