Tragically a 91-year-old man in Sweden has died, after operating a ride-on lawn mower. The male somehow got pinned underneath the grass cutting piece of machinery.
Mowing the lawn is more dangerous that one might think.
According to American Academy of Pediatrics, over 250,000 people were treated for mower related injuries in 2010.
In a recent case in Sweden, a 91-year-old man died, while operating a ride-on lawn mower. The male somehow got pinned underneath the grass cutting piece of machinery.
A neighbor of the elderly man had discovered him dead. The male was well known to ride around on the mower as a means of transportation, often using it to get to his mailbox, as he had difficulty moving around on his own.
A neighbor speaks highly of the now deceased man stating “He was really pleasant, very energetic for his age, and always took care of his garden by himself throughout the years.” The 91-year-old reportedly had no children but his other family members were notified of his death.
No one actually witnessed the incident first hand so it is currently unknown what the direct cause of his death was or how he ended up under the lawn mower.
