We’ve wanted to build a remote control go kart for years. Specifically, our friend Michael had the idea to build a RC go kart after Ike flipped the 670cc Lawn Mower. The goal was to create a remote control system that we could adapt to different projects so we could perform un manned top speed tests. In today’s video, we build a remote control go kart with a built Tillotson 212cc engine producing around 15 horsepower. Wanting to test the go kart before the sun went down, we skipped a bunch of safety features and testing, and Ike volunteered to get on it to drive himself around his yard. Instead, the radio controlled go kart went full throttle, accelerating Ike to at least 35MPH in a gas station parking lot and crashing into a curb. We are extremely lucky that no one got hurt and nothing got damaged. From now on, we’re adjusting the throttle cable so that max throttle on the remote = barely above idling, more safety features, and testing UN MANNED in a wide open field.

  1. If you can come up with a safer way to make this possible, I have a market for it.

  2. I like Ike an love watching him but Jon on the other hand is very annoying, he'd be ok if he didn't always act lime he's a professional at multiple different thing's and then trying teach people thru the vid's.

  3. I was wondering if you could build me something? A remote controlled half-of-a go cart

  4. 카트라이더 러쉬플러스!! 김다오 남자
튜닝 정비 Korea English race you can rc car

  5. Skidmarks on the ground…………………….skidmarks in those Drawers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????

  6. Foolish move on your part. …… Ya should have done what I did. ……. use the radio control as it was designed to work! …. it was made to use servo's to control the motors! NONE OF THIS REPROGRAMMING, AND the RC! …… You want throttle have the servo move the motor to pull the motor switch on….. when you want it to go to idle let go of the stick, and have a return spring drag it back to idle. ….. same for brakes, ….. same for steering. (two motors, and two servo's, one for each direction. they make larger servos for RC as well. But how much pressure does it take to momentarily move a switch?) I set it up for a lawn tractor with centrifugal clutch, and also did it for a 18' john boat. ….. NO PROBLEM. But hook up a kill switch that kills the motor when it starts to lose radio frequency. just rig it like a dead man switch.

  7. When this baby reaches 88 MPH. Your gonna see some SERIOUS shit.

  8. If the wiper motor is a universal motor it will always turn in the same direction, you need to change the polarity of the field separate to the commutator to change the direction, the permanent magnet type motors reverse direction with overall polarity.

  9. Awesome Idea, I have done this with Cars and trucks for filming but not a Go-kart. Btw please wear sleeves or sunblock when welding, those UVC rays are very bad for your skin.

  10. Why would you trust a guy who couldn't even tell you why it wasn't working and then says I'll just take the kill switch out thats the issue ?‍♂️?‍♂️
