This is a video showing the first cutting test of my fully converted Fiskars Lawn Mower. It was converted using a welded steel frame, a pair of electric wheelchair motors and SLA 12V batteries. The reel is chain operated using a large 60mm brushless motor manufacturer by Turnigy (www.hobbyking.com). The motors are controlled by a Sabertooth 2x12A robot controller, and it can be operated using either a standard RC transmitter or an iPad.
Since the uploading of this video, the final chain tensioning has been done, and the mower is fully operational cutting our lawn in less than 10 minutes!
