Can we measure speed in km/hr
I have worked on small engines a long time in my shop….I have never heard ANYONE want to know the RPM of a drill. Strangely enough, they seem to want to know the rpm's of an engine.
Just asking .. Can you use AC duck tape as the tape or do you have to order more of the other ??
Can i use it for cricket bowling speed check?
Can this Tachometer be used to check the RPMs on a push mower or any 2 or 4 stroke engine. If so how do you check it. Do you point this at the spark plug like other tachometers?
Crazy expensive, $160.00
So what happened to testing the dewalt?
pretty cool tool to have around thanks !
No thanks. I'll pass.
How can I set the Rpm on the tachometer I keep having count
Looks good
Consider using a combined Strobe/Tachometer using a laser beam that is triggered off of a relective surface (like the tape you used) or a keyway on a shaft. Very useful in ‘freeze-framing’ high speed rotating and reciprocating devices. you can using to see rpm on chainsaw?
My daughter is doing a science experiment on tidal energy. She needs to measure the RPM of a propeller ( model boat propeller) as water passes by the propeller. Would this device pick up the reflected tape if it was submerged under about a foot of water?
You do realise that 1500 RPM is synchronous speed, meaning that it will never reach 1500, with load or without. Considering it is a small motor, this offset is very normal, because losses are quite big.
revolutions per minuet not revolutions per minuets
Thanks for the video. I appreciate your testing methods. I'm curious if the size of the reflective tape has any impact on the measurement? Say for example if a cutting that surrounds half the rotating part is different from one that is 1mm sliver?
Perhaps you could test a few of the cordless drills you have and see which ones come close to the claims? I would be interested to see which ones come closest to the manufacture claims.
Do a tool review on the ir 5132 brushless impact
A test I would add (which maybe you already have) would be to test the rpm of battery tools using multiple, different, amp hour batteries. I don't know if it makes a difference in non-load speeds but it sure makes a difference in power especially for high demand tools like circ saws, sawzalls, hole hogs, etc
Test your blender
So why does the factory rate them at a certain rpm but in real world it turns out lower? Is this a straight blatant lie to sell tools?
Did it come with a calibration certificate?
La muerte podrá verse de rostro humano, pero la humanidad de Colombia no sera cegada con cánticos dulces cuando el son es de guerra y para que esta continué. Traza el SI para un futuro cierto,
its rpm not rpms. The plural is taken care of in the acronym. (revolutions per min.) just how I see it, could be wrong.
Does the size of the reflective tape on the chuck effect the result of the RPMs? Would the RPMs be more accurate if you used a 1/16" piece of tape instead of a 1/2"?
With the bit in the chuck, isn't it technically under load? The listed rpm are usually under no load, correct? Informative review anyway, seems like a cool product.
I'm about to invest in a 1/2 impact and I have decided on a Nitrocat. Besides the price what the biggest difference between the 1200-K and the 1250-K?
Nice
