I always wanted a RoboVox. But the Votrax SC-1/2 chips are reaching quite insane prices, lately. And… the only Votrax SC-2 I own is used in an extension cartridge which I do not want to destroy for that. So I tried what I can achieve with a super cheap microcontroller instead.
The AT8U (AT16U) of the R3 is reprogrammed to act as a USB-MIDI-Interface. All synthesis is done on the AT328. The result still is a little bit rough but I like it, so far.
