The fully automated solar grass cutter is a fully automated grass cutting robotic vehicle powered by solar energy that also avoids obstacles and is capable of fully automated grass cutting without the need of any human interaction. The system uses 6V batteries to power the vehicle movement motors as well as the grass cutter motor. We also use a solar panel to charge the battery so that there is no need of charging it externally. The grass cutter and vehicle motors are interfaced to an 8051 family microcontroller that controls the working of all the motors. It is also interfaced to an ultrasonic sensor for object detection. The microcontroller moves the vehicle motors in forward direction in case no obstacle is detected. On obstacle detection the ultrasonic sensor monitors it and the microcontroller thus stops the grass cuter motor to avoid any damage to the object/human/animal whatever it is. Microcontroller then turns the robotic as long as it gets clear of the object and then moves the grass cutter in forward direction again.

Useless. You need at least 500w motor to cut grass. And you need a gps controller to be fully automated by gps software which you set it on your square metres grass to be cutted. What you ve done here is just a toy. You need to build a proper machine with 200w of solar input. Not 15watts. You need an ebike motor 24v 250w. You need 1000wh battery. 4 hours grass cutting. You need gps. You need video camera. You need grass fork at the back to scrap your grass to be collected later.You need set the control to the gps positions, cardinal points of your land. The machine will work by herself for 2-4 hours day or night. And will charge back from sun automatically. Stop building toys if you want to become an inovator. Build real devices. Come on kid. Only few people can watch your video till the end. If you build a proper machine you will get 100 millions views.
Thank you for the idea. IMO this needs to be much bigger. In fact I think the blade(s) needs to be much bigger in order to be effective at cutting grass. They also need move a lot faster as well. All of which will increase you power consumption.
