  1. Best video of its kind!

Question, how do I get the motor to spin The other direction?

  2. Hi Jean, dunno if I missed it in the video, is there a way to reverse the direction the motors running?

  3. This is Very clear and straight.
Sir please, what could be the cause of a single phase motor that suddenly dropped in speed

  4. for the experimenters…

try replacing the run capacitor with an inductor.

    makes it go backwards 🙂

  5. You can also change the direction of spin by reversing Z1 – Z2 OR reversing U1 – U2 terminals

  6. Thank you so much for this video. just had to repair such a motor. this video was god sent . Hi 5 :)… however, how do you change rotation?

  7. Lesson learned.. Thnk you.. Question : what is the usual running coil resistance? Checked mine and it's 15M ohms.. Is that right? Thank you.. I hope you could enlighten me

  8. Hi, on 3:16 you show a connection diagram, my single phase motor has one on the front but it has two Lines(L) instead of one L and one N. How should I connect this. It has a start capacitor. It is a Siemens .75 HP motor.

  9. So you conect start with run with live and conect another start with cental s and lower capsitor . and run with other swith with hi capsitor am i righ
