I am seeking help from Arduino fans to create a temperature and humidity monitoring system for our heat sink greenhouse. I would love to hear from folks who have actual Arduino experience to suggest the best ways to accomplish what we want.

We want to take temperature and humidity readings at different points inside and outside the heat sink greenhouse.

  1. If you still want to make an IoT system with Arduino i can help you build it! You can buy ready made products but it will be expensive.

  2. You don't want an Arduino system.
There are Windows-based programs, which is a lot easier to use than Arduino.
You can get off the shelf Wifi probes. They come with different sensors – temp, humidity, wind speed, etc. They will collect the data and send them to your computer in real-time for analysis.
You don't need to re-invent the wheel; lots of people are doing what you want to do.

  3. Little hard from videos to tell distances and exact locations so drawing a map with measurements and exact locations for what you are wanting. Things like conformal coating to protect circuitry are going to be needed. From the sounds of it your wanting to use wireless and have a single monitoring station in your home, so your basically wanting a few remote sensing stations in the green house. Your pretty much in the ESP32 or wifi module realm for FCC certified transmitters. Accuracy, resolution, sampling interval, and ranges (example. -10F to 110F) would be important to know. Your best bet is getting a hold of electronic engineers on the EEVBLOG Forums.

  4. Hi, I like your informative videos. Are you talking about the Garduino automated System?
