The supercharged brute force 50cc nitro engine is running again, but am I being poisoned?

  1. Hi greetings from delft the netherlands, i slowly getting to be an expert in how it should sound! Ha.. i have a question why are there exhaust fumes at all , can’t you make something to fully j’have none inside you garage? Looks very unhealty to me..

  2. I'm super excited for this… the progress that you are at from the "whack-a-mole" you were suffering from prev is so rewarding to watch, I can't even imagine how it makes you feel! Great job!

  3. For anyone who likes to tinker in their shed……..this guy is the benchmark…….been wtching alex and his endeavours from the get go….this man is an inspiration.bravo alex.

  4. I built fiberglass sailboats for a year. My GF at the time told me it was over a month after I quit that she could still smell the styrene on my breath. 42 years later, I don't seem to have any lingering effects from it PTL. "A fresh spark plug can't hurt" Ah, 2-strokes.

  5. Anyone running a nitro burning motor in any sort of enclosed space, needs full PPE and oxygen breathing mask. Madness not to use that…………….

  6. Thanks Alex, I understand you are measuring torque directly at the motor, my point is by decelerating rapidly you will have motor torque + torque to slow down the rotating parts. I am just suggesting you reduce the deceleration rate to minimize this effect

  7. jb weld is really great stuff but there is better epoxy options these days. I remember some stuff called plexus we used while I was building boats for malibu. It would penetrate into the metal at a molecular level even making the area within a couple mm of the surface stronger than the original alloy

  8. Finally this project is going somewhere! I am really happy for you 😁 hard work pays off 💪💪 cheers

  9. FORESHADOWING… jb IS NOT YOUR FREIND. Blowwing up again, just sayingg, prrove me wrong.

  10. Still great videos, but I don't really think you need the background music. I'm sorry but it sounds a bit "naff" to me. Just sayin'.

  11. Loading the dyno and rapidly slowing the motor will give an optimistic power reading due to the inertia energy stored in the rotating parts. Applying load with minimal deceleration is best, but applying load more gradually will give a more accurate reading.
Right now you are getting peak bhp, it would be interesting to see the shape of the power/torque curve

  12. I would cut O-Ring in the surface of one but not the other so u can seal it with the o-ring long with the RTV gasket maker

  13. Depending how much boost pressure you want , you could slow down the supercharger and push less fuel out the blow off system . This would also free up a little bit of HP

  14. You know a regular 50CC2 stroke motor makes 10 horsepower running on gasoline.

  15. cold sweating.?? Velcome to the club. I regularly get cold sweats. FREEZING cold sweats . Sometimes several times a day, but generally just a couple of times a week. It’s somewhat tolerable in warmer months and blazing hot summers but it’s bloody awful in the middle of winter it really is.

  16. I still think instead of just exhausting the dump valve to atmosphere it should get plumbed back pre supercharger intake but post carb to allow for better fuel consumption rates.

  17. When are You putting it in Your NSU Quickly? hehe Also You could try putting an air fuel gauge in the exhaust for tuning. Best wishes

  18. JB weld dosen't work well in extreme heat, Marine Tex works better..
Or use Permatex Ultra Gray [now avalable in black] High-Torque RTV Silicone Gasket [sealant] Maker.
