I don't understand how you identified the 5v wire on the motor. Where did that 5v come from if not connected to the controller? Great video though and very helpful.
Btw what happened to your model 3 battery I haven’t seen anything else on it
I am absolutely waiting for you to mount that 40 volt motor on something so I can see how practical it is to use. I have many batteries and controllers but good motors are hard to come by.
thank you! well explained.
So this video is awesome. I have had that lawnmower sitting around for a while after getting it at auction. Well on monday I pulled the motor out for an ebike and yesterday this video get released with the exact same motor. Still eyeballing controllers and such but this helps a lot.
Well done for your precise explanation, as always. You're a decent guy .
Nice
These are GREAT videos – and I could listen to you talk about anything, all day long. 😀

These videos are great! It's like watching an episode of Matlock, but for electronics.

Q: what about application where CLOCKWISE AND COUNTERCLOCKWISE are needed??? Like for a go kart??? ahhhh GOTCHA!!!
Excellent job
Just curious,if you ran combo 5 at same rpm as 4 would amps be same but you would get better speed and torque from 5,great vid,I used this process when I received my yuyang controller.
You're a great teacher thanks for everything ❤️😊
So what are you going to power with that monster motor
Im glad u did all that hard work….whilst i sat back and ate chocolate icecream 😉
Welcome back
i love your video's dude, i always learn something.
wow this is exactly the process that I used to reuse an old ebike motor with a new controller! it can be allot of work but 2500km later was completely worth it
