IT work!!! I got RFID to control X10 and Relays.
Will be adding ethernet shield soon. But right now, using RFID, it controls a Heater that’s connected to X10 module, which can be locate anywhere in the house. Also control a relay, which pulls a solenoid, that opens the door.

  2. Im sorry, but, why all the emotion programming the arduino and u havent done half of the work. ie the X10 Modules… Thats the real chanlenge, not just getting an input and sayin hello to the X10 module… Im not sayin ur project its bad or something, just probably u could do more than that.. right?

  3. this project is cool!! we are also creating ours, an attendance system using an RFID.. Can you please show us the schematic diagram of your project, it would help a lot ^^ thank you sir

  4. THIS IS COOL! I want to learn how to make projects like this some day but first i'm just gonna stick to simpler things. GREAT VIDEO!

  5. you wouldnt need internet on your smartphone to unlock your house and control the other devices. As long as your home wireless net extends to outside your door you can just set your phone to auto connect to that network when in range.

  6. Nice!
I agree completely with the relay thing. Transistors can do the same thing, but I prefer not to mix grounds of multiple power supplies.

By the way, we have the same soldering iron. 15 bucks @ MPJA, right?
