Did you have to solder any connectors to the motor shield, or did it come fully assembled?
This is an awesome idea that I've never considered. I have used the MDD10 dual motor controller, which would be perfect for doing the resistance and ride height from one controller. I might have to build this.
When you say that you can turn the motor backwards, are you planning to use it to simulate uphill, or headwind resistance? Also, I have the MDD10 shield, but can't find the sketch that it needs. Everything I find is for the controller without the shield. If you could supply a link to where you got the sketch from, it would be helpful.
