  2. Making use of the batery.repair reconditioning plan, I just saved 2 auto batteries from being completely junked. The guides were very simple to follow. I wish I would have found this years ago! You may use the guide to recondition any battery type

  6. Whoa!!!! Dude. Thank you. I'm a retired electrician and I had no idea that one could check each cell on a lead acid battery by sticking a probe into the individual opening. Wow. Thanks.

  7. Why don't you use a safety knife. Ya know. With a retractable blade. Might keep ya from getting stitches. Just a couple stitches at the ER will cost you more than one of those El cheapo batteries.

  9. Incredibly naive to think that just a good voltage means you've fixed the battery …not so. All I do is fill it with non ironised water and then pump a decent amount of amps into it so that it boils all that white crap off the plates.

    Then once it cools down I put something across the terminals that is a high demand draw, like a vehicle head light to drain it hard and I do that a few times, and then do a complete trickle charge and the battery is perfect again.

    The trick is getting a battery charger that pumps in the amps… bu not so much that it blows the crap outta the battery. It should take around 30 minutes to start to get the battery to simmer.

    Keep repeating the steps until the water absorbs all that white stuff off the plates. DO NOT THROW THE WATER OUT! Top up if required. DONE!!!

  15. crap !. when the battery dies, it goes for recycling, it dies! It will never reach 12 volts as much as you try with either distilled water or salts or whatever shit you can imagine!

The fact that the caps are sunk in tells me that no pressure is of concern as the water levels have dropped caving in the caps requiring water , sadly the fact the battery has sat for so long possibly damaged if not one all cells Internally leaving the battery useless , it might show charge and hold temporarily but inevitably will lose charge and render time repairing a wasted endeavor.   28. Hello and thanks for the video, I have a couple of questions. My UPS battery is not maintaining the charge, it is in use, last week we had a blackout and the UPS got off immediately. 1. For how much time should I have the battery out of the UPS, disconnected, before it is safe to open the battery?. 2. can I use only seawater to improve the performance and useful lifetime? Thanks in advance.

  30. It doesn't work. It might for a few days but what happens is all the sulphur deposits fall of the plates and settle on the bottom and can and most likely will cause the battery to short itself out. And another thing. You'd need a charger that can output about 100-200 amps not a cheap 1.5-2a trickle charger to get anywheres.

  42. So basically sealed batteries are the same as unsealed batteries but you can't get to the filling plugs? Is it really that simple? Just get to the plugs, fill the battery with water and recharge it? Amazing! Subscribed

  45. Excellent methods, I didn't know before. I was finding new, but odd brand drill packs at truck line salvage stores and moving the rechargeable cells in those into these old battery cases, to make up 12 volt battery packs for my radios, but I definitely like this recovery even method..
