MTB maintenance inevitably results in a few cuts and bruises, bodge jobs and frustration. Doddy shows you how not to perform bike maintenance and has a few tips for you to not to repeat them.

  1. Mole grips for everything!
Always in my bag when out, fit every nut if careful. Almost a tool box for a few grams!

  2. The amount of times I've dropped screws and bolts to never see them again is crazy, even in a small shop with bare floors. The void becons I guess.

  3. People don't buy expensive told not because they're cheap but because they're poor.

  4. I have lost so many tools after lending them out, but now I take a photo of the person Im lending them to whilst holding the tool. since doing this I have always got them back , and when I do I delete the photo

  5. I wipe my discs down with a drop of wiping alcohol or petrol after lubing the chain, just to on the safe side.

  6. If you lose a tiny part on the floor search for it with a torch—it's the quickest way to find it. (It's a good tip too for sewers looking for a dropped pin or needle!)

  7. For all of you that replace your brake pads and rotors when you get some lube on them you can send them my way

  8. I see all your tools are blue. Is it ok if mine are red?

  9. Awesome quality. But unless I'm showing this to an 11 year old, this was misleading. Thought I'd learn common noon mistakes, not how to literally do anything in a workshop

  10. Some of these were useless like the first two.. come on man.. trying to boost that video length eh?

  11. half of these are useless, or made for iditots who dont have any common sense
