If you’ve just got your first 3D printer, this video is for you. If someone you know is confused by why the STL on the card won’t print, or has no idea how to level the bed, please send them here.
This guide takes you through step by step everything you need to get going and start printing. Please explore the rest of my channel for a lot of content on how to get the best out of your 3D printer.
This Ender 3 purchased with my own money from the Australian warehouse of the Creality official store. It was missing the LCD knob, has a warped bed, but prints well. Pretty typical. It does have working thermal runaway protection, which is fantastic! It also has a V1.1.4 board with A4988 stepper motor drivers.

my PLA isn't sticking to the heating bed anybody know how to fix this?
If you have a 3 d printer that can print a replica of itself, then is it technically alive?
Um mine isn’t showing a cooldown setting….
Wait I need some help I assembled my ender 3 and the nozzle is so low that when it is in home position the nozzle is below the plate and we have lowered the plate as much as we can. Can someone please give us some advice?
my bed is bent like this: ´` and i have no idea how to fix it, when i did the test X it was very light in the edges but in the middle it was seethrough, i have the ender 3 pro please help me
Its the Amperage that kills you not the Voltage.
Assembly interesting you did not show how Assembly showed you Assemblying and mist a lot of stuff this video sucks only thing I understand was your volts and to check all the parts thumbs down is need
It’s my 35th time and I’m almost ready to slice lol. Do you cover calibration on upgrades?
2:44 you're welcome
Hi. I printed the X for leveling. Plastic strongly sticks into the bed surface. Even using scraper, I cannot remove it. Do you have any tip?
Just got my 3D printer and it wont turn on
Getting mine on 3 days. Doing all the prep I can
Credit where it's due, the packaging is top notch IMO.
"Moving the axis quickly can ruin the main board".
Fffff…..
Very clear explanation , thankyou
Ws
When I clicked on Slice for Thingiverse leveler X I got an "Unable to slice" error message with 3 items to check which seemed ok. Any suggestions?
Great video! You are a natural in front of the camera. Cheers from Pennsylvania.
hi there. do you have a video on what filament is good to start with, as i am thinking about purchasing one of these printers with a glass bed..but as i am just a beginner would like to know what PLA and the difference of PLA+ is etc… i do like your videos, very well explained , well done bud
So is the Ender 3 pro that much different than an Ender 3?
this video needs ANOTHER video to explain it!
My ender 5 pro is only a month old its having trouble feeding filiment it making a clunking noise at the feeder gears .And I cant push filiment through manually
In all honesty, the assembly instruction in the Ender 3 folders is not the clearest I have encountered
After watching this video, I bought this printer will be here on Thursday can't wait I already have my first project in mind thank's for all the advice very informative really helped me make the leap
3:30 Volt cannot kill a person by itself, it is the current (Amperage) who does it. One needs the other tho.?
Very informative video for beginners.
Would love to know with leveling which why is up and which down, and how do I get the filament out of machine at end of print, newbie trying to drive my sons machine while he is away.
Cannot tell you what a pain it is to remove this stupid "x" from my bed.
Is there a way you can change the filament color?
Finally got my own 3D printer ordered me a Prusa mini can’t wait for it to get here!
Best "basic" tutorial out there. Spent hours trying to figure out slicing
Great video answered all questions i had before buying a 3d printer
What printer is that in the back on the right with purple vase
Excellent video!
How can I learn 3D printing work and design? I want to buy this printer
By far, most detailed tutorial !
I can't print from the SD card that came with my ender, can as anyone help ??
great video!
best tutorial I have seen on youtube, thank you
Thanks Mike a great video
Great video, Thank you so much!
unfortunately my cura slicer wont slice the "X" for setup. it says "Unable to slice, Please review settings and check if your model is: fits inside the built-volume… etc"
any idea how to turn off that safey feature or work arround it? 😀
same
Just ordered the Creality CR-10s pro V2 today. $630 on Amazon. Even though I don’t have the same printer, this is the best video I’ve seen for basic beginning concepts by far. Straight to the point and you don’t babble on and on about pointless points. You also don’t repeat the same stuff over and over again. God bless and I thank you kindly sir.
Thanks for this vid, just dipped my toes, got an Ender 3 V2 arriving in a couple of days.
I am looking to buy a 3D printer and am watching tons of videos around. I got a video from CHEP and this current video both saved to when I will physically have my first printer, this kind of level of detail in videos is something people under-appreciate not knowing how much time it takes to show all those details not only mentioning them, well done and keep up the great work!!
You earnt a subscriber.
This is a great tutorial. Thank you so much!
if something is hollow will it auto fill it in or is that manual
Should be noted that the new "default" print settings for CURA already have 235.0mm entered, but the X does not fit inside this. I had to reduce to 96% to get it to fit on the bed for whatever reason.
Def shows I’ve been building the raft horribly on my prints, the “squish” you mention is basically bars of goo that doesn’t even remotely hold it on the bed and the prints I’ve done are nothing short of garbage. I’m excited to get this worked out now that I have a good idea of the squish I was missing entirely.
That's what I need to know how to convert my picture to make it 3d
Thank You.
Hello, pls I'm trying to buy a 3D printer. Which one do you advise I buy. I don't really have time for the setup. Looking for a plug and play 3D printer. Thanks ?
