We have had the Husqvarna Automower 450X for the summer of 2017 and were thrilled with the performance. We had some issues that were mostly user related. In this LONG video, I talk about the unit and some of the issues, trying to give a potential buyer of a robotic mower and idea of what they can expect. This is a different style video than what we normally produce, but the topic is too broad to nail down to a few minutes.

What's to keep it from cutting a larger yard? Can you set it to run, say, 8 hours a day every day? Say, at night? Or is 1.25 acres (5000 m2 or 55000 sq ft) the most it can do running 24-7 with charging time?
What an over priced, over engineered duff product. If you have more money than sense, it's just the thing for you!

To all the Landscapers out there if you are worried about this thing taking away jobs and maybe you should be. You guys charge to much..you suck when you do do it..I have to actually argue with you about how I want my yard done…one landscaper actually charged me about $150.00 to cut my mother's and father's backyard and he knew he was robbing me blind and taking advantage of me but I was doing it for my Mom…so I hope the hell you guys are driven out of the business justice serves you well
Lmao funny when the landscaper came over and said hey this thing is taking away jobs. Well my answer to you is I wouldn't hire you in the first place because you charge to much. I still mow my yard but that's because the landscaper that did my yard sucked at it and I couldn't afford this unit

I’m hoping on the next 5 years, Husqvarna can come up with a automower than can mow up to 2 or 3 acres.
Nice review. I mow somewhere around 3-4 acres, so I've been looking to get a 450xh to at least mow the main part of the yard and save me time on how much I need to cut. I'd been hoping to wait for the EPOS model to not worry about a wire because maybe I want to change which parts I have it mow or want to reconfigure the boundary a few times while I figure out which areas to use it. However, I've heard rumors they've been having issues with the EPOS versions, and would explain why they still haven't been released. All the comments from people that love theirs helps me though.

This looks good for to reduce time on a repetitive task. It should be able to last long as long as the blade and battery can be removed for maintenance and replacement if needed
How are you feeling about this 3 years later? Thinking about getting the 350XH.
It's been 3 years. Does it still work? Have you had any problems with it? Do you like it still?

I used to work in landscaping for years, mowing grass in 95 degree weather for 10 hours a day. I mow my own grass, and I’ll never pay someone else to mow it. This seems like a win to me.
A lot of these problems are due to the grass type that you have .These are wonderful .
Maybe I didn't scroll far enough, but what prevents someone from walking off with this, a not-cheap, portable tech device? A phone alert isn't going to matter much if I'm asleep or away from home.
It seems lost, it mows like a 12 year old.

Does the ground need to be smooth?
I install and repair these units you can actually run 1400 meters which I do every other day and its always best to run the loop wire and guide wire under your lawn plus you can program it from your phone.

But you don't get stripes. Lawn stripes look great. Dont u miss not pulling up and seeing nice checkered or diagonal stripes in your lawn? 2.5 is way short I mow my lawn at 4 inches. It keeps the lawn green and makes it really hard for weeds to sprout up. Seems like more cons than pros. Cool video though

I keep getting a collision error with mine and I struggle to get rid of the error in order to restart it. It’s been happening over the last month, more and more frequently.
I would appreciate any suggestions as to why this may be happening and advice on how to resolve it

Do you need to put the wire around every obstacle (trees etc) or does it bounce off and carry on similar to the auto indoor cleaners? Cheers.
Excellent I have one coming Wednesday. It has the installation with it. I've never used one of these and in fact I've never seen one in my life other then watching these videos. I'm pretty excited to get it. I have the 430X tho. Not sure what the difference is. Mine is probably smaller then yours.
