Jorge Menchu’s Article “Wire Diagram Color Coding” – https://www.aeswave.com/Articles-by-Jorge-Menchu-17.html

Learning how to read a wiring diagram is comparable to learning a foreign language. Instead of learning new words, we learn symbols and acronyms. In part 1 of this multi-part series, we take you through the basics of the automotive wiring diagram. Enjoy!

  5. Amazing representation. One question though- if anyone can answer, where are we getting power from to turn the switch on the yellow portion? In other words, how is switched ground getting its power or how is the switch activated for yellow? We're using the left side of the circuit to power the relay to power the right side of the circuit, but how is the left side being powered/controlled? Tried my best to explain my question lol

  9. I have an opportunity to work on small electric equipment. Are diagrams’ basics similar across the board: That is, assuming “at rest,” power on top and ground on bottom, etc? Or is this just the automotive field?
