  1. what are you using to drive the fuel injectors whit? I'm trying to build a simple test rig for fuel injectors. and letting Arduino program sending out the pulses. But I suck on the hole transistor thing to drive whit.

  2. Do you sell your project,? I think i will instal to my car carburator system to EFI with your project,?

  3. Nice work.
I would like to use it on a 16 horse cast Iron Briggs & Stratton 4 stroke engine.
That was what i was looking for when i came here. a laundry list or recipe of parts and theory is good for starters. I was thinking about timing, since it is a four stroke, the easiest method, would be to used a 4 cylinder approach and just ignore the other 3 cylinders with respect to the controller. I have 7 small garden tractors that won't run on ethanol and the carbs are no longer available.

  4. Hi I'm a student. I really appreciate your work! I want to make an arduino-based injection/ignition system for a motorbike. Can you give me some info about your configuration and the code that you have used?? Thanks a lot 🙂

  5. I have developed new version based on LM1815 chip and reconstructed code of arduino project to use interrupts.

I have added link for the video showing new concept in description.

  6. NICE work !
I'm new to Arduino and I would like to build variable ignition for a 310 cc 2-stroke with fixed ignition.
I think your code has all that's needed.
Any chance you want to share your code please ?
    Thx & grtz,
    Nico

  7. No. They come from Ford Sierra (DOHC 8V, Twinky like it is called in England). Coils comes fromSierra too (OHC, and DOHC used the same coils), but they are switched to independent coils from BMW E36 2.8 (but It can be found in various models starting from 1.8) as they give much more powerfull spark, and they have primary and secondary circuits grounded.

  8. These look like Volvo turbo injectors and the coils looks similar too.

  9. – I4/R4 engine with full-group injection, and wasted-spark ignition angorithm. Only Crank Position Sensor involved.
    – I4/R4 engine with sequential injection, and fully independent, multi ignition events per cylinder cycle algorith. Crank Position Sensor and No. 1 cylinder idicator in ignition distributor housing.
    – V6 with sequential injection, fully independent, multi ignition events per cylinder. Crank and Cam Position Sensors involved

Of course. It's not simple, but with small steps …

  10. Number of culinders dosn't matter since every coil (injector and ignition) has individual transistor and control and safety circuits.

In my case test will be carried out on:

  11. This is pretty slick – I'd be interested in playing with this type of thing on a bog-standard single-cylinder briggs engine. Am I right in assuming you're building this for a 4-cylinder engine?

  12. My plan is to share final version free of charge (Code and PCB layouts).

Maby someone wish to help ? I would be glad if project reaches state of self living being ( 😉 ) with its community. But I don't think it's possible.

  13. I can't determine which of two corresponding cylinders in four-stroke engine is in exhaust/compression or intake/power stroke.

Of course – I need another sensor on camshaft as it is rotating with half speed of crancshaft.

At this stage prototype is only a proof of concept – if it work anyway. Nothing more than that.

  14. Right now it's only a prototype.

Final version will run on car that I build in my garage.

  15. it is an interesting project, it can be used on a car?
    thanks
